Location
Kizingo is situated two degrees south of the Equator on the island of Lamu off the coast of Kenya. It is reached by scheduled daily flights from Nairobi (90 minutes) or Mombasa (45 minutes) and a half-hour boat ride from the airport on Manda Island.
Weather
The south east monsoon, the 'Kusi', blows from May to October. The weather is usually cooler with strong winds, great for sailing and body surfing. Average temperatures between 28°C to 32°C.
The north east monsoon the 'Kaskasi' comes between November to April. The weather is usually hot with clear water suitable for snorkelling. Average temperatures from between 30°C to 35°C.
